Eight photographic 'joiners' by David Hockney will go on show at Hamiltons Gallery to coincide with the publication of the Jonathan Cape title Hockney on Photography by Paul Joyce.
The book chronicles conversations between Joyce and Hockney over a five-year period in which the artist discusses his use of photography and its limitations as an art form.
'The joiners are about you moving,' Hockney told Joyce, 'and Cubism entails a similar principle. it's about the depiction of relaity in a more vivid way... each time your eye moves the perspective is actually changing you."
