SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE - THE GALLERY
At the recently opened Saint Laurent Rive Droite store in Paris, described by the house as a creative and cultural destination, the first exhibition curated by Anthony Vaccarello features different artworks provided by Hamiltons Gallery from Helmut Newton, Daido Moriyama and Hiro.
Named « RIVE DROITE », as a nod to SAINT LAURENT rive gauche line, that helped democratise fashion and luxury in the sixties, the space introduces a brand new retail destination for expression, exchange and lifestyle, conceptualized by Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello. In addition to the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, it will also sell a range of limited-edition, hand-picked collectibles, including art, furniture, books and vinyl.
Iconic pieces from Helmut Newton such as Eiffel Tower (1974); On the 10th floor of the Hilton Hotel (1976); as well as pieces from Daido Moriyama as Untitled - Lips 16 Times (2001); Untitled - Lips 9 Times (2001) and Tights (1987) and one piece from Hiro; Maria Beadeux, New York, (1974) are provided by Hamiltons Gallery, London and will be on view until 6 September 2019.
A selection of pieces are available for sale.
