The 7th edition of the Pavilion of Art & Design London, located in Mayfair, is the leading fair for 20th Century art, design and decorative arts. In October 2013 Hamiltons exhibited a variety of gallery artists including Irving Penn, Horst P. Horst, Jeanloup Sieff, Cathleen Naundorf and Erwin Olaf.
An important highlight was the first exposition of Guido Mocafico's new series Blaschka, succeeding his Medusa, Nature Morte and well-known Serpens series. Mocafico has had a long fascination with the Blaschka glass models, and in recent years found the opportunity to pay his personal homage to the masterworks, visiting and documenting a number of museums. The intricate models of jellyfish, sea anemones and corals amongst other creatures, were the lifetime work of father and son Leopold (1822-1895) and Rudolf (1857-1939).
Also on exhibition was an exquisite screenprint on Ragston S-N paper by Andy Warhol and a striking triptych of Nobuyoshi Araki's photographs, including two from his 67 Shooting Back series from 2007.
Hamiltons Gallery was the proud recipient of this year's Moët Hennessy - PAD London 'Best Stand' prize, chosen by the prize jury led by Jasper Conran.
