For the second year of Paris Photo Los Angeles, the US edition of the renowned art fair, Hamiltons once again exhibited a comprehensive selection of works by gallery artists, including Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Herb Ritts, Horst P. Horst, Guido Mocafico and Daido Moriyama.
Highlights included a number of works by iconic photographer Helmut Newton. The selection ranged from Newton’s well-known and unique Polaroids to his gelatin silver prints, including Raquel Welch photographed in Beverly Hills.
Hamiltons also exhibited unique oversized works from Guido Mocafico’s celebrated Serpens series and a monumental grid installation of his latest series Blaschka, which depicts intricate models of jellyfish and sea anemones, amongst other creatures, created by father and son Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka during the late 1800s.
A selection of Daido Moriyama’s Silkscreens was also presented. These works were selected by gallery owner Tim Jefferies from Moriyama’s extensive oeuvre of work and produced exclusively for Hamiltons as silkscreens on canvas.
